What does 'suitable for making trousers' mean?

Dress forms suitable for making trousers feature an additional column inside the body.

By having the pole off-centre, you can prevent the pole from being where the crotch should be and hang trousers in their natural position.

This can be by unsecuring and lifting the model off the pole, checking underneath and sliding the pole into the off-set column (the one not in the middle).

I’m between two sizes, which one do I pick?

You go ahead and measure yourself only to find you sit perfectly between two sizes and now aren’t sure which to one go for?

We always recommend picking the smaller dress form.

While you can go along and pad a dress form bigger and more reflective of your individual body shape, you can’t pad a dress form smaller!

Brilliant First dress form I've bought. Got it to help with the dress I'm making for a cosplay. Easy to put together and goes up to a good size. Not heavy either so I can easily move it around myself

awkward adjustment size 14 is just too big for the small version and just too small for the medium.assembly instructions a vague and at times, unhelpful. adjustment wheels are clunky and awkward to access

Fantastic I was going to buy a cheaper model but then I realised that the slightly more expensive one allows you to use it for trousers.As I never wear skirts there was no contest.It was easy to assemble, very easy to alter to correct size and extremely easy to use.I did find it cheaper but the advert did not mention the guarantee which I think is important.Very pleased that I invested the money. It has already made life so much easier.
